Family Link Practitioner 

Pj's is a small team working together to know the individual children & their families and support the children's sense of identity and individuality. Each child will have a named Family Link Practitioner. 

The Family Link Practitioner gives a child the reassurance to feel safe and cared for and builds a relationship with their families. They quickly become aware of the children's individual needs, preferences and development.

At Pj's we believe that children with strong early attachments are less unsettled when separated from their parents. They engage in more pretend play and sustain attention for longer. They join in with play with other children and adults, and their sense of 'who they are' is strong.

Children need to feel safe in the relationships they have with the adults who care for them.

We believe that when children feel safe they are more inclined to:

• Try things out and be more independent.
• Be confident in expressing their ideas and feelings.
• Feel good about themselves.
