Fixed-Term Position | Level 3 Practitioner Role | Apprenticeship Role
Childcare Practitioner (Fixed-Term 3 months, Flexible Entry Level Welcome)
📍 Farnham, Surrey, GU9
🕒 Fixed-term (3 months) | 4 days per week | Immediate start available 

About The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner to join our nursery team in Farnham on a 3-month fixed-term contract.

This is a great opportunity for both qualified and unqualified candidates who have a genuine interest in working in nursery's. You will play a key role in supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework, within a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.

The role is 4 days per week, offering a consistent schedule with a healthy work-life balance.

Core responsibilities:
  • Support children's learning, development, and daily routines.
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities.
  • Carry out observations and contribute to children's assessments.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment at all times.
  • Follow safeguarding and welfare procedures.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a supportive nursery team.

About You
  • Reliable and able to commit to the full 3-month contract (4 days per week).
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with children.
  • Confident working with young children (0 - 5 years), and willing to learn/develop
  • A strong team player with good communication skills
  • Proactive and willing to get involved in all aspects of nursery life.

​Requirements*
  • Experience working with children is preferred but not essential
  • Relevant Early Years qualification (desirable, not required)
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Understanding of the EYFS framework (or willingness to learn)
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices

About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our nursery team in Farnham on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality early years education and care. You will play a key role in supporting children's development in line with the EYFS framework, helping to create a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child care thrive.

Core responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
  • Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing.
  • Carry out detailed observations, assessments, and next steps planning.
  • Act as a key person, building strong relationships with children and families.
  • Ensure a safe, clean and stimulating environment at all times.
  • Follow safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of care and education.

About You
  • Qualified to a minimum Level 3 in Childcare or above.
  • Reliable, proactive, and committed to high standards.
  • Confident in planning and delivering activities independently. 
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Possess sound knowledge of child development and early years education, with the ability to plan and organise activities and daily routines.

  • Relevant Level 3 (or higher) Early Years qualification
  • Enhanced DBS (in date)
  • Paediatric First Aid certificate
  • Safeguarding and Food Hygiene certificates
  • Sound knowledge of the EYS framework

Early Years Apprentice (Nursery)

About The Role
We have an open role for a motivated, reliable and enthusiastic Early Years Apprentice to join our nursery team in Farnham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to begin a career in childcare while working towards a recognised Early Years qualification, You will gain hands-on experience supporting children's learning and development in a nurturing, supportive environment, while receiving structure training alongside your role.

What You Will Be Doing
  • ​Supporting children's daily routines, play, and learning activvites. 
  • Assissting with planning and setting up engaging activities
  • Learning how to observe and record children's development
  • Helping to maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environemnt
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and team members
  • Learning and following safeguarding and welfare procedures
  • Working towards your early Years qualifications with support from the team

About You
  • ​Enthusiastic, caring, and interested in working with young children
  • Willing to learn and develop new skills
  • Reliable and committed to completing apprenticeship
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Positive attitude and hands-on approach

Requirements
  • No prior childcare experience required (though beneficial)
  • Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent), ideally including Maths and English
  • A genuine interest in Early Years education
  • Willingness to complete a level 2 or 3 Early Years Apprenticeship
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
