Open Training Position - Unqualified or Level 1 or 2 Nursery Practitioners
The Role
Our aim is to work with, and support student practitioners in gaining their qualifications - either through the Apprenticeship Scheme or through Adult Learning.
We work closely with our students to choose the appropriate route for them to gain their qualification. Support includes planning and implementing activities with the children to ensure the student has the opportunity for appropriate practical experience to build on their theoretical learning programme.
About You
Unqualified, Level 1 or Level 2 Practitioner looking to work with friendly and experienced childcare team to achieve your Childcare Qualifications. We believe that children should be cared for within a mixed age group and so you will gain experience in working with all ages. You must be able to work as part of team and will be supported by Jo (Lead Trainer) and the Pj's Childcare team through your development.
This role is suitable for a committed to the role, practitioner looking to develop their qualifications and work as part as part of a close-knit team in a purpose built environment.

Open Early Years Practitioner Position - Level 2 or above practitioner
The Role
We are looking for a qualified Level 2 or above Early Years Practitioner to join our team and work in a mixed age group setting.
This role is suitable for a qualified, committed practitioner who is looking to take on a new challenge, and work as part as part of a close-knit team in a purpose built environment.
Core responsibilities:
Childcare and Safety: providing a safe, clean and stimulating environment for the children, including their basic needs are met. Supervising the children during working hours and monitoring their well-being, reporting any concerns or incidents to the appropriate personal.
Educational Activities: aid in the planning and implantation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. This includes encouraging exploration, creativity, problem solving skills, language, literacy and numeracy.
Communication + Collaboration: Communicating regularly with parents/carers to provide updates on their child's progress and development. Working collaboratively with the other members of the nursery team to ensure a positive and supportive work environment. Participating in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
Observation + Assessment: Observing the children's development and progress, to identify their strengths and areas of support. Aiding in the record keeping of development reviews and sharing this information with parents/carers and relevant members of staff. Supporting the implementation of the EYFS framework and any other relevant curriculums.
About You
Already qualified to a minimum Level 2 standard in early years, who has the patience and empathy to work in childcare. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to work with children and to work effectively as part of a team.
Knowledge and experience of child development and early years education, with the ability to plan and organise activities plus routines. Committed to providing a safe and stimulating environment for children, and able to follow policies and procedures.
Relevant qualification, in date enhanced DBS, paediatric first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene certificates are all required. If you are gaining or renewing any of these certificates at the time of application please state this in your covering letter.
